Marino advises clients in national and international economic law, particularly with regard to competition , international trade (including intellectual property), international investment, and Swiss and European single market regulations.
He lectures on European and International Economic Law at the University of Zurich. For several years, Marino was a Swiss Ambassador for foreign economic relations, where he led, on behalf of the Federal Council, numerous bilateral and multilateral negotiations.
He also presided over major international trade, competition and investment law for a. In the 1990s, he played a leading role in the drafting of federal economic law statutes, such as the current Cartel Act and the Internal Market Act.
He is a past member of the Swiss Competition Commission, and Chairman of the OECD investment committee.
