Jacques has recently been directly responsible for the development and commercialisation of major oil and gas resources in Africa and the Middle East.

He previously led and transformed IHS International, a significant energy data and consulting company.

Prior to this Jacques was at BG Group as a Director at Atlantic LNG developing two new LNG trains and as President BG Trinidad and Tobago was also responsible for developing the offshore fields to supply the gas for the LNG.  Previously as General Manager BG Tunisia, Jacques transformed the operational performance of the asset taking it from the worst to the best performing in the group. As International Operations Manager at BG Group he was responsible for transforming a jointly operated oil field in Russia and managing non operated interests in Thailand, Egypt, Tunisia and Iran. At BG he also led the development of UK North Sea gas and storage fields.

Jacques started his career at BP where he worked on producing and developing oil and gas fields in the UK and Norwegian sectors of the North Sea. Subsequently he worked for Hongkongbank group both in North Sea field analysis and in their energy lending team.

Jacques has over 35 years experience in the international oil, gas & LNG industry, he has a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Bristol University, UK, is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Energy Institute. He is married to Patricia, an Oil & Gas Environmental Consultant and they have four children.
