Tatsuo Masuda is visiting professor at the Nagoya University of Commerce & Business Graduate School in Japan and chairman of the Advisory Board of FairCourt Capital Group, London.
A former diplomat, he has extensive experience in the energy sector and associated policy making in relation to both business and government with a particular focus on new energy technologies and the environment.
Tatsuo Masuda is a board member of the SOC Corporation in Tokyo and a senior advisor to Elion House in Singapore, an investor in clean technology innovators and companies. He is also an advisor to Japan Petroleum Exploration Co. Ltd and the Bosphorus Energy Club, a director of the International Energy Agency and a member of the Global Agenda Council on Decarbonizing Energy under the World Economic Forum.
Previously he has worked for the Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry, Japan National Oil Corporation and the Asia Pacific Energy Research Centre. Between 1996-2001 he worked in Paris as the International Energy Agency director responsible for oil markets and security as well as lecturing on energy geopolitics at Paris University-Dauphine.
