Victor Zhikai Gao is executive director and chairman of the International Committee, Beijing Private Equity Association, vice chairman of Sino-Europe United Investment Corporation and a director of the China National Association of International Studies.

 

He has extensive experience in international relations, investment banking, corporate management, venture capital, private equity and securities regulations, and is a sought-after spokesman on Chinese issues.

 

Educated in China and the United States, he has held positions with the Chinese Foreign Service and the UN Secretariat in New York, and served as interpreter for Deng Xiaoping.  He has worked as China policy adviser with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.

 

Victor ZhikaiGao is chairman of the China Energy Security Institute and has held senior positions with Morgan Stanley, China International Capital Corporation, China National Offshore Oil Corporation Ltd, Pacific Century CyberWorks, and Daiwa Capital Markets Hong Kong Ltd where he developed the company’s local securities and business strategy in China.
